ABD Engineers & Surveyors was founded in January 1987 in Schenectady, NY by three partners, Joseph J. Bianchine, P.E., Thomas C. Andress, P.E. and Michael J. Davis, L.S. Michael J. Davis, L.S. retired at the end of 2004 and in 2015 Luigi A. Palleschi, P.E. became a partner and the name was changed to ABD Engineers, LLP, then, unfortunately, in 2018 Thomas C. Andress, P.E. passed away. ABD Engineers, LLP is primarily a civil engineering firm with offices located at 411 Union Street, Schenectady, New York. The firm consists of approximately 15 employees.
The Partners of the firm worked together for numerous years and are very experienced in all facets of civil engineering projects from the project’s conceptual design through – Environmental Impact Statements, surveying, detailed design, obtaining permits and approvals from local and state agencies, final design, estimating, specification writing, construction observation and construction management.
ABD Engineers, LLP has successfully completed projects throughout the State of New York, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments, municipal projects, school projects, new correctional facilities, various surveys and many residential subdivisions. The firm has also completed numerous projects with National retail and restaurant chains and private developers. Notable projects are the development of Exit 9 Shopping Center, Hotels in the City of Saratoga Springs, Town of Clifton Park and Town of Glenville and Senior Housing projects in the Town of Colonie, Town of Glenville, Town of Rotterdam and across the state, as well as commercial and industrial parks throughout the Capital District.
The Partners have expertise in the Municipal approval process, with the founding Partners having experience in Municipal engineering, having provided their expertise to Town Planning Boards. The Partners are very familiar with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACOE), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations and New York State Historic Preservation Office (NYSHPO) approval processes.
ABD Engineers, LLP has provided engineering expertise to Banking Institutes and Private Lenders for construction draw review and review of plans. ABD Engineers, LLP has provided engineering analysis of tax certiorari cases and assessment cased for specialized industrial and commercial facilities.
